Webgrrls Germany:
Relaunch 1998 and Maintenance

Webgrrls Relaunch

"Webgrrls Germany" is now one of the biggest chapters of the international Webgrrls network for women in New Media.
I redesigned and substantially expanded the Webgrrls website and extranet. The relaunch presented a complex community site, containing 140 public and members-only pages, with subsites for regional groups.
Ongoing Development in 1999/2000
In 1999 the site grew substantially (October: ca. 500 pages). I started and consolidated virtual teams working on the site and helped developing the network in Germany.
A screendesign and logo competition with an online poll for Webgrrls members was a big success and brought interesting ideas for the "millenium" relaunch in January 2000.
The site became a focal point for the Webgrrls community. I also developed extranet sites to coordinate and focus the work of the steering committee and the Webgrrls webteam.
